Paro

Location: Paro, Bhutan
Paro is small town but it has only international airport of Bhutan and breathtaking Taktsang, famous with another name Tigers Nest Monastery.
Here you can see the my Paro trip if you want to know more about My Bhutan journey please click here

We hike up to the Tiger's Nest Monastery, perched on the side of a Himalayan mountain at 3,120 meters (10,240 ft.), about 900 meters (3,000 ft.) almost straight up. It was strenuous and tricky because of the high altitude, steep incline, and rough terrain.  it was worth it to visit this incredible engineering marvel and sacred Buddhist temple (Paro Taktsang first built in 1692, destroyed by fire 1998 and rebuilt).

Taktsang Palphug Monastery (Tigers nest)

You can have pony ride to climb Taktsang up to some distance.
