Lonavla acts as a magnet for the romantics and the relationships which need to
get away from the daily hustle and bustle once in a while.
Elevation
of more than 2000 feet above sea-level, Lonavala offers beautiful natural
landscapes and serene to its visitors. The name 'Lonavala' is derived from a
Sanskrit word, 'Lonavli', which literally translates as 'caves'. It was
discovered by the Governor of Bombay Presidency during the colonial era, Lord
Elphinstone.
